i am planning to drive to malaysia next week. do we really need to register VEP before driving in?

tried registering on their website but keep getting error msg.

Just drive in as per normal......VEP not started yet.

Just make sure hav some RM on hand if you dun hav a Touch n Go card..(can buy at MY CIQ)

What’s the latest on VEP? And what to do driving into Malaysia using Tuas link. Don’t have touch and go, will I be causing jam and annoying cars behind me?

Simply go to the left-most lane, where the counter is manned and you can buy your card.

think let's not worry on their VEP yet. their website does not have any clear information other than saying all foreign vehicles are to be registered. But failed to say the effective date and how to go about it. Also, the procedure and documents required in collecting RFID seems complicated/unnecessary (such as 'COE validity'. isn't COE exclusive to Sg vehicles only? isn't chassis number, road tax suffic?)

No problems. Lots of notices telling you to register for VEP online but no one checking yet. I haven’t registered.
