The main aim is to keep the cost as low as possible.

Requirement : Watch 4K Youtube, hook up to 02 4K monitors and some office work.


Have the following in mind now.

ASrock A300 Mini : $259
AMD Ryzen 2400G : $225
RAM : Own supply
SSD : Own supply
Wifi : Own USB supply

Have some questions here.

1) Should I go 2200G to keep the cost even lower?
2) I have a piece of 8GB PC4-2400 RAM lying around can it be used?
3) Only using for light work and video watching. I have a old 240GB Sata SSD should I be looking into the new PCIE SSDs?

2) If you can find another 8GB of DDR-2400, you can use the existing stick. Alternatively, sell the latter off and buy 2X8 GB of DDR4-3200.

3) SATA SSD is fine. You won't notice the difference.

I read that only Ryzen 2XXX can use stock cooler with the casing. 3XXX series stock cooler is too high?

If I decide to run only 8GB ram, Can I just use the stick?

looks like the $130 3200G is the best bet of all.
its stock cooler is same as 2200g which can be squeezed into the casing

It's specced at 46mm of cooler height so yes the 3400G's stock cooler is 67m in height and is too tall
