I'm using a Club 3D CAC-2068 DP cable for my main rig, no issue whatsoever. My 2nd rig has a Link Up DP cable (pic below), both of them are VESA certified for up to 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz. For my HTPC, I'm using a HDMI2.1 cable, though my TV is only 4K nah niah...

hey guys, just checking if there is such DP cable that is most suited for dell u2312hm?

cos i did some search regards on certain DP cable may damage the screen and is that such thing call compatibilities for certain monitor to support certain cables?

isnt it mostly just plug and play?

Never heard before, if you want to play safe get Dell DP cable
but that model I think didn't come with one.

yup it only came with VGA and DVI no DP at all, have bought 1 no brand but after having such issue of the screen is black and not able to boot up due to the cable have 1 power strip pins that will affect the monitor and i have tried one that my brother bought for his monitor and also didnt work so was wondering if dell monitor have such requirement?

I have the dell aw3418dw and the oem DP died on me recently. A startech.com 8k DP and club 3d 8k DP (both VESA certified) is on the way (ETA Friday) and it'll hopefully work the same as the oem one.

Unfortunately, startech.com cable doesn't work with it even though it is VESA certified... :s11:

The Club 3d CAC-2068 2m/6ft cable works on the aw3418dw! H̶o̶w̶e̶v̶e̶r̶,̶ ̶O̶C̶ ̶m̶o̶d̶e̶ ̶d̶o̶e̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶.̶ ̶I̶t̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶p̶l̶a̶y̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶1̶0̶0̶h̶z̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶i̶d̶e̶a̶l̶.̶ Nvm it decided to work so it's fine now. :s13::s13::s13:
