VNC to Mac from remote

Newbie to mac. I am trying to VNC to my Mac. When I try to connect, I get a no respond from server from my VNC client.
I follow steps from this article: https://www.howtogeek.com/214220/how-to-access-your-macs-screen-from-windows-and-vice-versa/
Any suggestion on what could be wrong in what I am doing?

u never said connect from what to what? u made sure e vnc server is running?

I mentioned connecting to Mac. Mac has its own VNC, read the article.

I posted the same question with exact same wordings on Reddit and I got 2 responses with help instruction and no query.
If u want to be helpful to a newbie, make sure u r an expert in this area before jumping in. Just saying.
