You have to enable: settings>cellular>4G>Voice & Data.
If M1 has it, you will see that the network will stay on 4G while you are making a call. If not it will switch to 3G.

Just manage to talk to m1 technical and they said that currently only m1 to m1 customer will able to have VoLTE or voice over 4G. Sadly it still not able to cross other service provider.

Singtel and starhub already started since last year. I had check my friend setting on the iPhone 6, they are auto select to 4g voice service. M1 have to manual select. But I not sure if the Singtel can cross service provider using 4G voice.

I tried a few times with Voice over 4G to my wife's M1(Same telco) number..It still jumps down to 3G during calls... :s13:

The tech support from m1 did tell me the handset that have must support 150mbps like iPhone 6 & 6plus. m1 user that already upgrade to 300mbps(free), M1 to M1 only.

ME and my wife 6 & 6plus call at bukit batok is VoLTE. We put to loud speaker and we didn't see the 4G change to 3G.

Why the fuss over VoLTE ?

Clearer voice ? HiDef Quality ? We won't even able to tell if they switch it back to "normal" voice. :s13: Marketing Gimmick...

i think u have mixed up HD Voice and VoLTE.
HD Voice is clearer voice only, nothing much.
VoLTE is calling/receiving a voice call on 4G network, no need to drop to 3G or 2G.
u buy a 3G phone to use Voice Call and Data/Internet on 3G network.
u buy a 4G phone to use Voice Call and Data/Internet on the new 4G network (150/300Mbps).

but during the early days, 4G cannot support voice call, can only use for Data. when there is an incoming or outgoing call, ur phone need to drop to 3G then only can get the voice call. sometimes u may get a missed call if ur phone failed to switch to 3G.
after enabling VoLTE, u can use both Voice & Data on the 4G network, no need to switch between 3G/4G.
