Hi, I would like to understand further why my post have been removed. The post I created does not contain any product name. I am just seeking for freelance work in terms of IT Services.

The post does not contain any company name and the contact number I posted is my personal number. The contents of the post is to educate forumers on virtualisation.

If there really is a rule which I have violated, I will take note not to violate them again. Prior to that, please do point it out to me the rule I have violated. Thanks.

Just make sure to keep a image of the virtual machine somewhere safe.
When the system crashes, simply load back in the backup-ed virtual machine with working configurations and your system is back on.

If you ask people to PM you or contact you, it is a form of advertising if it is not placed in the respective Marketplace subforum...

Thank you for your clarification. I do feel that the contents of my post is targeted for general IT Services. That explains why I placed it under IT Garage Sales.

Will it be alright if this post can be placed under General Merchandise Bazaar instead? I do notice some posts there that is similar to what I have posted.

Please do advise which marketplace subforum will be appropriate as I do not wish to violate HWZ's rule again. Will really appreciate your assistance in this.

Hi, as quoted by you from http://sph.com.sg/legal/member_conditions.html

I believe SPH did not mention offering services is not allowed. My interpretation is that 'I am not to offer services in an incorrect category or area of the site'.

As such, I would like to seek advice on which category I can post for similar posts in the future.

Boss, if I want to sell services like giving tuition or repair services for computers and mobile phone, it is not allowed in the respective Marketplace Subforum but if I were to sell a physical product like hp and computer parts, it is allowed? What about those who listed in the Mobile Phone Marketplace that they are selling mobile phones and at the same time offers to repair Mobile phone?

If u will hear me out, you can consider opening a subforum for services alone. (Can be titled 'freelance services') Maybe under the recruitment section.

In the interest of sph's core business, no commercial entity is allowed to place their advertisements anywhere in the forum.

If you need reference to this suggestion, i can pm you where i get this idea.

There is one particular thread for 1-1 tuition services.

If you are not selling as a part of an organization, then it should be fine. If you are not sure, do check with marketplace mods.

If you see any suspicious threads that may flout the rules, please press the report button for us to look into it.

So just to have a confirmation, if you are an individual, not a company or not working in any company offering the services, it is permissible to offer services such as assembling diy pc, repair and troubleshoot, repair of mobile phones screen cracked and etc?If yes, where should the post be placed and in which subforum?

In general, commercial entities are not allowed to advertise or carry out any form of solicitation in all forums without prior approval.

For individual providing repair service, selling their used items or offload extra items, we don't clamp down on such activities. You can post them in their respective forums but please do not spam the forums with the same content across multiple forums. :)

Back to my first enquiry, I am an individual who is offering IT service. I do not represent any company. The post I made is only in one subforum, 'IT Garage Sales'. I do provide my contact number but it's only within this subforum.

As such, I feel that my post had been wrongfully blocked and would like to appeal to have my post reverted back.
