Is there a way to stop hdd when not in use?

I just got a 4tb hdd, using it as my movies storage. As not using most of the time, is there any software to stop running the hdd when not in use? My pc is on 24/7, running my games, so switching off pc is not an option.

Windows will do it for you by default, just make sure you don't access it within its timer.

You can set the shut off timer portion in window's power options->advanced settings->hard disk. Default is 20 mins.
