If you do happen to run across a typhoon in Taiwan in Dec, the world is probably coming to an end. Oct is the latest for Typhoon season. Be prepared for a wet and cold winter though, and most Taiwanese building don't have heaters.

I've been to TW quite a few times in Dec ...
The low land cities will not be too cold ... just cool ... between 10 and 20C, higher during day time, but lower if there is a cold wave.
Mountainous area will be cold ... near 0 ... so be prepared if you are heading in.
The weather will be quite good, but may drizzle a bit here and there, esp at night (dun ask me why).
Typhoons can last until December ... some major typhoons are in Nov and Dec ... but very rare, esp for TW.

might have typhoon in dec, i went last yr during the typhoon season and it's terrible.

I will be there from 5th to 9th.

Lucky it doesn't show any signs of typhoon.

The weather though.. almost everyday will encounter showers.

Another question, is it sufficient to just bring our normal jacket that we use in sg there?
