Weather in October?

Anyone living/staying in BKK at the moment? What's the local expectation with regard to the weather situation for BKK in the coming weeks? Am planning a trip sometime mid-October and was wondering if I should postpone instead given then situation there now

I had friends there last week and it was raining almost every day, and I think on 24-26th it was heavy rain and floods in many parts of BKK, ankle deep up to knee deep along different parts of Sukhumvit. My friend made the wrong decision and took a Grab from DMK to Soi24 at 8pm and was stuck in the car for close to 4 hours

Monsoons season, brace for rain.

Don't mind rain so much if its tapering down from the end-Sept heavy downpours and floods, and I've read that it typically ends by mid-end October. I'll wait another couple of days then decide, thanks

Avoid Oct unless u like rain.... u might want to rethink your trip. Go after mid Nov, cooling weather.

i always visit in Oct, the rain usually is not long lasting and should be "survivable" lol

Thanks, already committed to mid-Oct. Heading down to meet friends and get some tailoring done. Cannot go in Nov as I will have work commitments so will just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best!

my friend also jio me go bkk next week, brought forward due to her work commitments on end oct- early nov.

Now i see those weather forecast, next week like whole week everyday raining throughout the day leh....
like that can't even go to those night market isn't it?

Seems like intermittent showers and or thunderstorm. Not like non stop rain.

Just got back last night, stayed in BKK Sukhumvit 24 area. Was there from Tue to Sat and it was fine first 2 days, then there were some short showers in the afternoon which was over quickly. It was raining cats and dogs + thunderstorms when we departed BKK airport at 7pm last night though. Overall, weather was good, didn't even use my umbrella which I brought along
