Hi all,

Previously my system keeps getting BSOD, but i did not take note of the error, and I keep hearing the tick tick sound from my HDD.

Then aftersometime, my windows 7 64bit is not able to boot, it stuck at the logo page when the orbs are rotating.

I insert the windows 7 discs and tried a recovery but it stuck at the page when the logo starts to appear.

I tried testing the memory stick, working.
I even tried removing my HDD and did the recovery without HDD, still stuck at the same page.

I tried changing a PSU, still the same.
I tired using a new HDD still the same.
I tried all bios configuration, still not able to solve this issue.

ANyone has similar issues?
Just wondering is my mobo dead? But I am able to update my bios, of cos it never solve the problem.

Windows stuck at logo page is usually a hdd fault. Encountered a few times.

Asus 8h77m le. Samsung hdd, Radeon gpu, forget the model, Intel i3.
Previously system has been running fine for almost 2 years.
Suspected hdd, but did a test with the hdd on another system, seems fine. Switch memory stick, without result.
Reset bios, update bios, unplugged all usb and cd drives, and run on kobo video card, still without result.
I am out of ideas, usually a faulty hdd can be easily replace with a new hdd, but this time round is simply weird

I suspect the boot files are corrupt causing slow load. This can be caused by bad sectors, maybe you can run the hdd manufacturer disk tools. WD has a WD Lifeguard tool. Seagate has its own that I can't remember, go give it a shot.

if you are using 64bit windows 7, hit F8 key until you see a long list of options. select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement and see if you can boot successfully

the logo part is when the windows start loading your drivers
