What do you all think of OCBC's HospitalWise?

I am considering it.

I've been asking around and not much people seem to know about it.

I already have an Integrated Shield Plan, so I am wondering if this is still necessary.

Why? I'll ask the very simple, threshold question that you ought to ask yourself when considering insurance: what calamitous risk(s) are you trying to defend against that you cannot reasonably handle on your own (or with somebody else's reliable help, such as a family member's) that a cash payout would help solve?

The person whom talked to me on the phone said OCBC, thought I think GE is owned by OCBC?
Yes, OCBC owns Great Eastern. OCBC has its own "HospitalWise" page here.

She also said I don't need to come down to sign anything, just phone activation would do.
How convenient. ;)

It is by GE.

Cancelled mine recently after updating and going through my policies this year.

I had overlapping coverage so no point in me paying for it.

Don't buy. I bought and so happened to be hospitalized. They made the claim process so tedious, finding every excuse not to pay you. After 1 year of chasing after them, they are now not replying to my emails. I am going through legal channel to sort this out.

TLDR. Don't buy.

I assume the amount is huge else resorting to legal means incur a lot of monies? If lose you need to pay penalties to them?
