it is some sort like a NAS storage device where you can save all your movies in it and connect to your TV via VGA/USB and play. no need to worry about invalid format as it can play almost any format be it mkv, mp4 or mov.

is there such a device sold in those computer shops? if so what is roughly the price? thanks

Might want to have a look at WD TV Live Hub if you want built-in HDD.

Interface is easy to use, and can play most video formats.

I'm using WD TV Live player cos I don't need built-in HDD. Works well.

I just saw AC Ryan for a built in hdd at 249 and w/o a built in hdd for 169. Price does not include the hdd storage.

May i know how much u got the WD one for?

Im still deciding over the one for built in hdd or not. But most likely will go with the cheaper one since i already have a new 1TB ext hdd
