Hi,
I got a Macbook air (mid 2011) which is unable to boot and shops believed it is due to ram or motherboard issues which is costly to repair, perhaps around $500-$1000.
Used it for about 3 years before I dropped it 4-5 month ago and but till earlier this week it just crashed and won't boot up, have 3 beep sound. I am unable to enter bios to wipe my HDD either. One shop was nice to tell me it was not feasible to repair as it would be better to buy a new one.
However, I tend to not trust repair shops especially with some shops swopping original parts for fake parts unless they do it in front of my eyes but most shops have a turn-around time of 1 week. Since Apple quoted almost $1k, I decide to sell it away but I can't fetch much.
It comes with 256GB SSD drives which can be converted into a external HDD with the right hardware which I plan to do so instead of dumping the whole laptop for $100. Other than that, many Carousell seller is quoting less than $100.
Any suggestions how I can get the best out of it? Appreciate it
