What to do with old digital camera?

hello, I have a Canon digital Ixus 95 IS camera that is no longer working properly - cannot switch on and emits a strange stuck noise.

Instead of repairing which is not worth the $ and selling to cash converter which probably will fetch me like $10, what are the other options to consider? Like taking apart and selling away the lens? TIA for all input
