Recently, my friend had recommended me a "slack" job. He didn't give me much details about it but asked me to just head down to the office to have a talk with his colleague about it. So i did.

After heading to the building, I was directed to a conference room with many tables and each table had a person talking to a group of people around my age (teenagers).

So my friend's colleague came on down and talked to me about the business it goes something like this:
The business is selling stem-cell pills that is said to improve our longevity and look young and blah blah blah.. What we were required to do is actually just be a "testimonial" and share this product with our friends.

Then she was talking about the many profits and the easy money earned into doing this business by just depositing $150 and then sharing this product with only 2 friends and if they share with 2 more friends the list goes on earning a 5digit monthly income.

This looks like an easy way to earn money.. Too easy.. But I want to know, what's the catch behind all of this?

If i'm not wrong is this something like MLM?

Hope i am able to receive helpful responses. Cheers!

as long as u dont pay a single cent, den no harm trying... but i highly doubt that will be the case... most likely u will need to come out with a few hundreds to a few thousands dollar for watever reason.

these initial sum is likely to be wat they are after.

It's a pyramid scheme (not a Ponzi, but still scammy). It's probably illegal - and if it's not, it should be.

This is a classic MLM model.

This is not a job, it's more like a sales business.

Unless you like the product very much and you are the type that like to talk to a lot of people, this kind of business is not for you.

Most MLM companies fail within the first 5 year.

Thanks for the responses. Seems like it really is a MLM scheme.

An unsustainable business i guess?
