Quite interested in getting one as a home theater (60%) and gaming (40%) hub. What's the slimmest and sleekest model in the market? Not keen in overclocking but need to have room for a decent (~$400 range) graphics card. I may not need a sound card as the HDMI will be connected to my amp.

For mobo, I've narrowed down to this 2, although I might be getting a more basic one instead and spend more on NAS and graphics.
1. Motherboards - MAXIMUS VI IMPACT
2. MSI Global Z87I GAMING AC

Budget can fluctuate at the moment but say around $1.5-2k for everything, excluding monitor.

Can follow jian19 recommendations. No ooint to get a z87 board if not overclocking. Less the noctua l9i if no overclocking is needed.
