When does ORD Clearance begin?

According to my boss, it is 2 weeks before I ORD.
However, I'm having a wisdom teeth surgery on the third week before I ORD. Is there any chance that the unit may commence clearance on the third week before ORD?

And if there the whole battalion ORD as a whole, does it mean the clearance will be settled and signed in batches, instead of individuals doing 'Amazing Race', chasing for the signatures.

I completed my clearance form 1.5mths before ORD except for the last signature which was the clerk who handed me my pink IC.

some people I heard is they must clear as a platoon one.

haha... i remember i started doing my ORD clearance a few months before ORD.

things like dental and blood test take some time so need to start early and for my side people like to mass clear off and leave just before ORD so we start quite early.

but ultimately it still depends on the unit policy...

lol i think i did mine like a month or so before ORD, very rush. but then again my whole battalion ord-ed tgt so i'm not too sure cause we did not have to arrange anything by ourselves. chances are if you're part of the "dribs and drabs" of ord personnel in your unit, then you have to book your own appts, dental ffi, blood test etc. the sooner the better! ORD LO!

I started clearing off and leave 4 months before my ORD date. And before I cleared leave I was on overseas exercise for 1.5 months so I was practically not in camp for nearly 6 months. I did all my clearance before I went for my overseas exercise. And on the week I came back all I did was pass my gear back to my unit then I disappeared

It all depends on your unit really. Everyone in my unit has different ORD dates and we did not come in batches so all we had to do was get approval of leave and clearance from CSM and OC and we can leave as and when we wanted depending on how much off and leave we had

it's normally 2 months before you ORD.
As you need to start off with Dental FFI and Blood Test, which take weeks.

There after your respective unit departments.

i did mine like 3 months b4 i ord, went to book dental check and wisdom tooth extraction, did blood test 1 month b4 ord and cleared all leave 2 weeks b4 ord, last week on mc, shiok...

I suppose most of us did some points of the clearance months before the actual ORD date. Only the signtures on the last day before you collect your ang teng ki.
