Very easy.
One is Communist.
The other is Democratic.

Don't look down on a 1.3 billion Democratic people.

World largest Democracy meets world oldest Democracy.

One is a total failure, one is a warmonger cum big bully.

That's why I prefer the other one.

It will be long time for india to catch up. zai indians with ability will go outside to make $$$ and enjoy life esp in US, London. Singapor is next hot spot.

With brain drain, how to have national development? why would a high earner go back to slum india when he is at his peak performance years when he can enjoy life outside. chicken and egg thing again, how to prevent brain drain? Keep india competitive n vibrant to live. But then without capable people for development, how to?

And India policies keep flip flopping everywhere, telecoms, textile, rails and so on. This is why in early to mid stage development to bring yourself on par with global stage, strong leadership and consistency is so important.

In Asia modern history, strong leadership(or dictatorship esque leadership) was almost a requirement for national development, particularly in the early stages of development where the country have no direction, no established industries.

China, south korea, japan, taiwan all developed rapidly because they all at some point in time had a dictatorship-esque leadership which are then able to execute on whatever vision or plan they have, as imperfect as it is. The common route is land reform -> low level agriculture to keep everyone employed -> manufacturing(most important) -> move to higher level manufacturing for export(which puts other countries' money in your pocket to spend on development).

Coincidentally or not coincidentally, they had high race homogenuity, take that as you may. Malaysia was almost another positive example to add in there, but they got distracted by race politics and mahathir was too stuck in his policies. Singapore, HK are outliers.

India while racially homogenous as well, they hv a lot of languages barriers, in their parliament there are at least 22 languages allowed to be spoken with translators in house. Not to mention the divide between different language speakers n cultures in India. In a country's early to mid development days, a divided society will never progress, because it is like a lost child who don't know where to go. When a country is relatively developed, even with retarded or terrible leadership and divided society, the economic machine can still run for a long time with its past establishments and habits.

If both China and India become superpowers, the world is doom. One exports fake products, the other fake professionals. We will live in a fake society consuming fake goods and churning out fake people. Lol.

Some scholars said that India will be a superpower by 2025. Some even believe that India will be the strongest by the end of 21st century.

Whats ur view on this?

after over 70 years of independence..........what has India got to show ?

The irony is India needs autocracy, someone like Qin Shi Huang or Genghis Khan.
