Where to buy macbook?

hi asking a noob question here, where is a good place to buy a macbook (either pro or air) in terms of getting a good deal.

should I buy from amazon/US, apple store, resellers or from IT shows?

You will never get a "good deal" as Apple firmly controls prices. The only "good deal" is in Changi Airport so you can save 7% GST.

and i don't know if i should wait for the next release of the new lines of MBP, guessing it'll probably cause a drop in prices of the non-retina MBP.

jus bought mba at challenger, dint even went to the show. was at changi city point, mba 13" 8gb ram, 128gb ssd $1628 same as online. free keyboard protector, palm guard, wireless mouse, sleeve standard and managed to get free challenger membership worth $30.

I also bought thr. The staff thr told me got the 256gb and 8gb ram de. But no freebies. So I end up with the freebies and 4gb ram. How come u have freebies and 8gb ram de?

I got the MBA 11" 256GB. initially the sales said can upgrade later to 8gb ram, so no need to rush. But after I ask another guy from challenger few days later, he said they don't have rights to upgrade to 8gbram and will void warranty if to change at challenger. But not sure if it is true as I have yet to check with Apple's other authorised dealer.

I bought mine around 01/08, also got those keyboard and palm rest protector, bag and a 3rd party wireless mouse as free gifts.

so it all depends, if buy apple online, it comes with free delivery. buy from challenger, either u get some free gifts, member points...

I also purchased the Customer Protection Care at 30% discount I think..

You cant upgrade the RAM at all.
