So why are you getting back the same card back? You very sure you won't under utilizes this time? :)

Zotac and leadtek can get them at 400 or slightly below 400 now.

Last year was a very busy year for me, posted overseas for work for almost 6months + my lovely newborn.

This year i can wack all the games liao! :s13:

Its smaller due to the PCB design. It is because Nvidia themselves do not have a reference design for the 970. So brands took out their older design boards to implement the 970. Example the zotac and palit gtx 970 uses a old gtx760 670 design.

Performance will really depends, although it wont be the best, with 4+2 power phase, and a normal cooler strap onto it, do note that you wont get the best out from it.

Cooling wise, the GTX970 for Zotac is getting at mid 70s region.

So higher chance that, you will hit thermal limit if you intend to overclock further.

how did you find out which cards nvidia has reference designs for?

btw, can pm me the exact mandai address to get distilled water in bulk?

If you are doing custom water cooling, you will know.

There are several 970 spotted using older reference board design. Which you can use the same old blocks designs.

Address have been pmed to you.

Actually if i decided to hold and wait for Pascal and Polaris, my current processor MB etc can keep up with the new gpu?

Or likely need a major overhaul?

Don't need to change anything. Just plug in your new or future graphic card.

Wrong mentality. Just as the GTX 780 Ti held its ground against the GTX 980 in terms of pricing, so the GTX 980 Ti will most likely hold ground against the GTX 1080 come June. My guess is that the GTX 980 Ti will only drop pricing next year when the GTX 1080 Ti (or wadever Nvidia names its GP100 cut-down version), but by then either GTX 980 Ti would have been in short supply or its performance would have been made redundant by other Pascal cards. The fate that GTX 980 Ti might suffer most likely is reflected by the current plight of GTX 780 Ti cards.

I believe AMD has committed to releasing Polaris mid of the year, but I am not aware of Nvidia committing a date so far.
