Great eastern is probably the highest if you are 26-35 age group. I think my cash portion is $400

It's not just about the the monetary benefits for a 100% cover.

It is about the peace of mind that your medical cost are fully paid for when you are lying on the hospital bed focusing on recovery. You can definitely take care of this on your own but you can't argue that some would preferred a hassle-free full cover without worrying for the cost. A peace of mind is something valuable that you can't measure.

I'm just trying to point out that it was not a fair comparison between an assist rider from NTUC and cash rider from other companies. I'm sure the public would want to see the whole picture. :)

seriously, if 2.5k can create nitemare for you, yeah maybe u are suited for 100% coverage, if u dun mind pay 2x premium per yr. i respect your decision, some ppl just like 100% even at healthy young age, unless of course your family has history of medical conditions , then i will get it why 100% is so impt.

no personal attack, just a thought of my own trying to make sense of everyone point of view

hey bro,

he is right in pointing out the difference just in case people are misled by your info.

$2.5k/year might mean nothing to you but it might means something to others.

what about the few that require constant medical attention every year for their illnesses?

if the family has medical condition, yeah pls go 100%. however as i mentioned, if u look at assist rider careful, one can get almost 98%+ coverage. may not need to pay even 2.5k every year. recently i know someone who died of cancer, she has EIS and assist rider, in the end she got paid $5k cash after spending 500k on her hospital bills. she is the reason why i was awaken on how to play assist rider and saved on the premium for reinvestment and save up to pay for the expensive riders in the older age.

anyway for those who already find the premium expensive, pls look forward to more jump in 2015 after the medishield life kicks in. based on usa as example, the premium will jump from 20-200% next year.
