Since ur i7 is not an unlocked model.. The H97 shld be good enough.. Unless u need those 'features' the higher end models provide.

Errm gaming , movie things like that only lo . so whats the diff between b85 and h97? i mean h97 is for non overclocking right? so b85 whats the diff?

Motherboard does not improve gaming performance.
A $500 premium "gaming" mobo will performance on par to a $100 averagw motherboard.

When looking for a motherboard when you are in budget, look for its features that you NEED.

The difference in those b85, h97, etc model of mobo in layman term is different extra features it provide.

If you are gonna do mainly gaming then no point getting i7 cpu because the performance difference in gaming when compared to a $150 cheaper i5 4460 is very very little.
