I am deciding between these motherboards, going to build a new pc.
From past experience, motherboard should have some of the newer features as I normally will buy parts like new SSD etc. Currently my motherboard is only SATA 2 and so SSD etc not really fully utilized.
I will be using it for surfing net and gaming, like GTA5, hearthstone, Heroes of Storm, WoW etc. I download quite a bit of files as well.

Hence, I am looking more for m2, sata express.
Overclocking is not for me. Heat is not an issue
I currently has a Palit 970 Jetstream.
Best to have as many USB 3.0 slots as I have many devices
Opitical/Coax out will be very good as I have speakers for that although I am using external sound card now.

Looking at these
Asus Z97 Pro Gamer -499
Asus Z97-A -460

MSI Z97 Gaming 5 -466
MSI Z97M Gaming -452
MIS Z97 Gaming 7 -511

Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-422
Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 3-422

Or should I just get H97 instead?

Question:
Will you SLI despite he stuttering?

Sata express drives not out yet leh. M.2 not much more beneficial than sata 3 ATM though.

Can get h97. If I were you I won't look at gaming boards though because you have external sound card.

You realise if change board need to change CPU also right if different socket

Hi, what is he stuttering? currently is going to use 1 gpu for my monitor and will add 1 more monitor in the future.
Yes, just to be able to use sata express or m.2 in the future, i guess, i would have change my ssd or something before getting a new pc again. Average lifepan use is around 5 years for me.
Sorry, forgot to say it is for a new rig.
Just got my Palit 970 and R5 case. New rig should be up by Friday/Sat
