Which router wifi got high penetration power that even with walls and obstacles the data packet transmit still good in quality and strong signal.

Currently using ASUS N56, first few months still good but after that the signal power dropped or excellent strength but data packet quality low.

I cannot use TP-Link, Dlink or netgear router, always feel headache when turn on their wifi.

Hi,

Before investing in a new router, maybe u can first check how many active Wi-Fi networks, their signal strength, channels, 2.4/5Ghz based on the location ur desktop/laptop is. If there are many strong 2.4Ghz network around ur area, then it's rather futile to utilise that bandwidth. Then next consideration is to move to 5Ghz. Since ur current router supports 5Ghz, do u have a wireless adapter that supports 5Ghz? if yes give that a try first.

Hope the above helps. Cheers!

I got excellent signal strength but the speed is super low and bad quality packet data. This is not the fist time i come and post this issue, previously also happened before until i go and changed a new one with ASUS then the problem all solved.

Now it's happening again :mad

Always like that one, first few months ok until later the router maybe wear down then wifi speed become unstable and slow even though the signal strength show excellent.

Sounds like the wifi channel you are using could be congested. Have you tried using Wifi analyser (or similar mobile app) to check the wifi signals in your area? See link for more info.

maybe u can provide more info on the wireless adapter used as well as screenshot of the network around your setup. like I mentioned earlier, if moving to 5ghz is possible, most probably problem will be solved. Even RT-AC68U in a congested 2.4Ghz environment won't help much.

Maybe your brain is interfering with the signal? That's why quality drop over time. It explains why the other router signals gives you headaches.

This head pain issue I hear it for the 1st time.
The best router to me is one that can handle traffic well, good coverage and reasonably priced.

However such a product don't exist. As such we compromise. I would suggest TP Link for best bang for bucks. But u made is clear is Asus or nothing. So take their top AC model try and see how.
No happy, change ur AC adaptor to USB adaptor type...see how again. Still not happy. Buy a pair of power plugs or wireless extender. Even extender is not AC. The results maybe better due to stability compared to power plugs.
Lots of $$ spent but u will surely get best connection possible. ..This is next to CAT 6 cables.

It's not common but if you try to google it, you will see some other people experiencing it.

I'm calling up the contractor and ask if they can install a cable all the way from the router to my room, they are getting back to me on Monday for the price.

if u have no issues seeing trunking externally. Having the cables done will be like Lego. U can even DIY.
Head pain issue is basically radiation. These happen with micro wave ovens and phones...but the usefulness out weights the cons so I don't pay that much attention to it. But so many devices coming up and all wireless I cannot imagine what we are exposed to.
