It doesn’t go away.

soaking in warm water helps but it’s a pain to wake up to every single ******* morning

Seriously related? I get it worse the more I walked
Of course is it related to how long you put pressure on it...

We spend a lot of our time sitting, it should be using this time to rest, not getting pressure put on it.

Talke some arcoxia or NSAIDs. Will relieve short term.

Long term you'd need certain exercise, or that shockwave therapy mentioned above.

You can correct it with a corret diet, actually more like correct supplementation. It's not unlike RA (which is way more serious). Anti-inflammation stuff like Omega 3, Magnesium (no magnesium oxide pls), D3, K2.

You might also wanna go for a general body checkup, see if you have something screwed up like hypothyriodism.
