Why Do Students Need Tuition?

i feel like a lot of kids tell their parents they need tuition just because they dont know how to do their homework so they think they need help. tuition is expensive and time consuming. it would be great it there is an online form of tuition whereby students can ask their homework questions and the tutors explain step by step. This way, it wont be so time consuming and the student wont rely on tutors to spoon feed them
