Why LTA don’t want to build LRT for yishun

Went to my friend’s new BTO place at yislum. Have to take bus from yishun mrt/ khatib mrt very inconvenient.

why LTA don’t want do something similar like Bukit Panjang LRT/Sengkang punggol LRT. Honestly everywhere in sg is convenient already except yislum. Or is government still waiting for the announcement of the Seletar line?

My guess is no land space to built.
Or town too small.

You can reserved the space to build LRT for a bus lane and run a bus every 5 mins on it. Still it's much much cheaper than LRT

Problem is do we need so many MRT lines. 1 mrt station is $400-500million at least. And not only that is pollutive in nature
