SMEs usually have low salaries. Most of the workers are either work permit holders, or dependent pass holders, or converted citizens, or PRs who do not need to go for ICT.

Sme are mostly sheet companies that offer rudimentary services. They are not MNC .

And boss is most probably local with local mindset. Not good for ones career

Many of the salary requirements in S-Pass and E-Pass don't apply to Malaysians.

My relative is a Malaysian and work in singapore on an E-Pass at $2.7K despite the E-Pass application not meeting the salary requirement.

If you are a SME boss, would you hire an NSMen with additional CPF or just resort to hiring a cheaper Malaysian on an E-Pass at $2.7K?

My relative (a Malaysian) told me that her company's HR told her the same thing. At $2.7K, that job could have gone to an NSMen.

That company was set up by a Malaysian and my relative told me the company (based in Shenton Way) only hires Malaysians.
