You must ask yourself this question to answer your question: why didn't Israel do a preemptive before YKW?

Russia won't invade.
They are just protecting Crimea.
Russia need Crimea for access to Black Sea.
Without Crimea, Ukraine is useless.

This is US/EU trying to grab back Crimea.

Missiles, artillery, whack the troops buildup at the border
Russia already long time got undercover in Ukraine liao.

Crimea conflict best example, the undercover change sides at russia instruction, open gates for unmarked russian combatants and the local civilian (beside ethnic tartars/ukrainians) mostly cheer/support the Russians side.

According to Wikipedia, crimea never belonged to Ukraine. Russia claim ownership after Russo-Turkish war 1774. During USSR, they just placed in under Ukrainian administration as Crimean autonomous region. Majority of population are Russian anyway.

This is a very good question. Now I also wonder why. Actually nato should pre-emptive strike the 100k Russian troops since they already know where they are, everyday talk non-stop about them in the press.
