The reason I asked is that by right you could not achieve >1Gbps wireless speed with Singtel 2Gbps plans (aggregarted 2Gbps plan, all LAN ports are only gigabit, not possible to use Dual WAN Load Balancing for Asus routers).

And it seems to me Singtel Home Priority Plan and Home Priority Plus plan are basically the same as Singtel 2Gbps plans (just different mesh solution offerings).
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/fibre-broadband-plans

It is very strange that you can get Dual WAN working on the Xiaomi BE7000. By right Dual WAN Load Balancing will not work with the ONR as both WAN connections will be using 192.168.1.xxx private IP (same network segment).

That is really strange now.

Supposedly Asus router WAN aggregation will not work for any ISP's 2Gbps plan or Dual 1Gbps plan, as the ONT/ONR do not support 802.3ad.

My ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 also supports WAN Aggregation. However, it still depends on whether the provided ONT/ONR supports WAN Aggregation as well.......like you said

Likely the above posted applies to other countries lor

Hi Xiaofan. What is your setup for Pi-hole? I just got my Xiaomi 7000 and was going through the Wifi7 routers thread again and read about this ad-blocking software? Shall I get a cheap Raspberry Pi Zero V1.3 to install Pi-hole? I want a simple and cost-effective setup.

I use a Linux container (Ubuntu 22.04 or Debian 12 LxC container under Proxmox PVE on my Intel low power CPU based mini PC) to install Pi-hole or Adguard Home.

The container was on an Intel J4105 based mini PC running Proxmox PVE 7.4, which also runs OpenWRT virtual router for my home network.

Now the container has been migrated to an Intel N100 based mini PC which runs Proxmox PVE 8.0.

Actually I have multiple LxC containers and virtual machines inside PVE. I can easily switch between OpenWRT and pfSense (or OpenSense), and between Pi-hole and Adguard Home. If I am running pfSense then I will use pfBlockerNG-devel and not Pi-hole or Adguard Home.

In your case, you do not need to buy a Raspberry Pi since Xiaomi BE7000 supports Docker container.

I am rather lost in networking stuffs. Any place/links/books to recommend for a noob to start with or explore?

I see.

In this case, check out the posts in the following pinned thread.

Pi-hole Docker Guide (I have never used this myself)

If the above is too troublesome for you, then get a Raspberry Pi (3B+, Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, or better like Raspberry Pi 4). I have used an Raspberry Pi 400 myself to play with Pi-hole.

ACER is new in routers as compared to ASUS and TP-LINK

So, their product, software and updates ok or not?

I see the mentioned product has 3 ports. 2 of them are 10Gbps. Not sure of the 3rd port.

And you need a 5G SIM card too

Hmmm............I think its total speed of BE11000 is quite low ah

Yes, we can not complain about the cost. They are especially good when using as an AP.

Huawei BE3 Pro (1G port version): RMB399
Huawei BE3 Pro (2.5G port version): RMB499

Xiaomi 6500 Pro (quad 2.5G ports, good for 2.5G plans): RMB699
Xiaomi 7000 (quad 2.5G ports, good match for 2.5G plans): RMB799
Xiaomi 10000 triband (dual 10G ports, maybe good for 10G plans): RMB1499

TP-Link TL-7DR3630 BE3600, RMB 319
TP-Link TL-7DR5130 BE5100, RMB 369 (single 2.5G port)
TP-Link TL-7DR6560 BE6500 (quad 2.5G ports, good match for 2.5G plans), listed price RMB 729
TP-Link TL-7TR13090 BE13000 triband (dual 10G ports, maybe good for 10G plans)

One more option from ZTE -- ZTE BE7200 Pro+ (中兴问天BE7200Pro+). initial launching price is only at RMB 599. This is a good buy if you do not like the form factor of XIaomi BE7000.
Dual 2.5G ports, 1GB RAM, USB 3.0 port

Youtube review in Chinese -- you can see Intel BE200 WiFI 7 adapter is not better than Intel AX200 WiFi 6 adapter due to the lack support of MLO. But Xiaomi 13 Pro supports MLO well.
