Win 10 Edge toggle off & on

Hi guys,

i believe i might have disabled the use of edge last time. but i have forgotten how to go back there. am now using win 10 with creators update. now whenever i launch the edge, it will load then close.

hope someone can help.

Disconnecting Internet will let you do these steps without any issue.

Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge.

Step 2: Click on More Actions (3 dots) Located on Top Right corner Under Close Button.

Step 3: Click On Settings.

Step 4: Now you will see 4 Options Under "Open With" , Select 4th Option which says "A Specific Page or Pages"

Step 5: Now Under that you will see a Bar, Keep it as Default or Select Custom and add any Url like www.google.com just like shown in Below Picture.

Unfortunately i disconnected the internet and tried. i launch edge, it will close automatically. i think i might have disabled the start of edge hence now this. but i cant seem to find the option to enable it back.

Method 1.Perform a system restore.

Method 2. create a new user account.

Both methods are workaround. Not real solutions. They are less destructive and less dangerous than playing with powershell scripts or registry.
