Hey Guys,

Thought this might help those who have stuttering issues in the latest Windows 10 build due to the standby list bug that constantly fills up and games throws you out because of insufficient memory. Had this happen a few times and I managed to completely solve this with the following steps.

I hope it will help those who are having stuttering and improve the responsiveness of your gaming.

GPU Optimizations Include :

Nvidia Control Panel :

1. Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames : 1
2. Power Management Mode : Prefer Maximum Performance
3. Threaded Optimization : On (Use only for newer games, older games please switch it off)

Other Optimizations :

1. Download Empty Intelligent Standby List Cleaner and follow the instructions below to add it to run when Windows boots.

https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1256#p3241

-Open Task Scheduler
-Action } Create Task
-Give it a name under General, and tick 'run with highest privileges' at the bottom
-Triggers tab } New } At startup
-Actions tab } New } Start a program - Choose ISLC

RUN A DELAY OF 30 seconds if it does not boot up after creating a task.

2. Using the same Empty Standby List Cleaner, set TIMER RESOLUTION TO 0.5 seconds. You may have to stop the service in the app before inputting 0.5 seconds. Start the service again in the app after inputting 0.5 seconds.

REBOOT and try your games again! It made such a good difference in terms of fluidity and stutters for me all disappeared.

Watch my frametime, there is hardly any spikes and the random spikes were actually the Intelligent Standby List Cleaner purging the memory. You do not feel the spikes affecting the game at all when it clears the list. I have not one single game throwing me back to desktop after even 3-4 hours of non-stop gaming.

Enjoy!!!
