hi after upgrading to 10 from 7, my ntfs partition shows as raw and Windows will not boot. using ntfs fix tools the mft appears to be corrupted. my windows 7 is on Mbr and a 128 crucial m4 2.5 ssd with the latest firmware. error in bsod is 0xc000000f.
thanks.

Seems like Windows 10 is GPT only.
Most windows 8.x are GPT already, while most windows 7 machines are MBR.
You might wanna check if your system supports GPT disks, reformat and clean install instead.

Just reinstall fresh win 7 n activate. No need to update. Then do a win 10 upgrade.

Windows 10 can be MBR or GPT, done both before.

Must update right? You need that particular update to trigger the Win 10 invite.
. Just download the usb creation tool n do the Win 10 upgrade AFTER a fresh install n activation of Win 7. Don't waste time updating Win 7 AND DON'T waste time getting updates during Win 10 installation as well. Just do a fresh install Win 7,activate n upgrade to Win 10.

before you go about doing all the upgrading or fresh install, check that your hdd is 100% healthy with tools like CrystalDisk, HDTune, Acronis hdd monitor.......etc.
Replace the faulty or dying hdd or old hdd
