This update failed to install on my system. System rebooted multiple times and took very long to undo changes.

I read online that many people's system were screwed up after installing this update i.e. some programs/peripherals stopped functioning.

Has anyone here successfully installed this particular update without bad effects?

Right now, my OS build is 10586.164. It's not the latest build. But it's stable and I like to keep it that way. I don't need to have the most updated build, especially when Microsoft updates have the notoriety of creating new issues whilst fixing others.

Well, I managed to bypass the problematic KB3163018 update. What I did was to clear the Windows Update cache. When I click Windows Update again, there were new updates which fortunately installed successfully.

The good news is my build is now 10586.494, which is the latest. :) The bad news is KB3173428 has replaced KB3163018 as the new problem :(. When I checked installed updates history, it said KB3173428 failed to install because of 0x80073712 error.

Anyway, does anyone feel the latest build makes the system slightly slower than previous build :s8:?

I won't update until after 2 Aug for the new 1607 build.
