Windows 10 upgrade issue

Hi all

I am trying to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 on a HP laptop.
Managed to download the upgrade successfully.
However when it restart to update the upgrade, it will reboot after 30% updates and then it will stuck at the HP logo.

I already update the BIOS and drivers to latest available version.
However, the same stuck issue still persist.

Anyone encounter this before?

Backup your files than do a clean install.
Maybe due to driver conflict like video card thus the OS
cannot be installed like that.
Anti virus can be also a issue but recommended do a clean install.

Even if you managed to let it 100%, the performance maybe
sluggish since it is a upgraded from previous OS.

Hi Jupiter,

I have gone through a post which recommends the following to solve this issue:

1) Disconnect non-essential devices attached to your computer – We should disconnect all the external devices connected to a system as it can interfere in between the proper upgradation process.

2) Disable your Antivirus utility, non-essential services, and startup programs – Usually we can uninstall all the security utilities such as Antivirus, AntiSpyware, and Firewall utilities. But, the most preferable is to uninstall all such kind of utilities and install the ones compatible with Windows 10.

3) Clean Boot the Application Process – The programs running at the background can also become a stone in the successful installation.

May be these things will help you.

do a full reformat clean install with UEFI enabled.

it will auto detect the license key from OA3 aka SLIC 3.

make sure you use 1607 iso.
