Windows 8 Black Out

Hi guys , here is the situation.

I found out that my hard disk failed so i changed to a new one and installed a legit copy of windows 8. I re-use my old specs (AMD athlon x2 240 processor , Nvidia Geforce GT 520)

However, right now the issue is when i got it on it is able to boot but then it will black out and my friend told me is the graphic driver issue that it is not up to date. However , i cannot update it because when i did it earlier, it will always black out when it reach 1/8 updating bar. Any helps? Earlier thanks for any suggestions! I am really clueless about this.

Sorry to higjack this thread, but i also face problem in booting up win8, i just bought ASUS ultrabook during the last pc show and it was working fine until today when i tried to boot up. It just show black screen..

This is a totally different scenario. Not all black screens come under the same cause.

You should start your own thread instead, and provide more info like whether you see the ASUS boot screen, Windows Startup screen etc...

asus ultrabook hav 1 very bad habit
its intermittance to boot into win8
the last causes was antivirus installation
i solved it by usin FREE AVG antivirus
graphic card driver also played an important part in bootin up into win8
