Windows Boot Manager in UEFI boot devices?

Hi, need help as this issue has been puzzling me...

My system boots to windows10 in abt 14-15s, with clean install and a single 850 EVO ssd. The UEFI boot devices shows this as the only boot device.

At abt the same time I also built a second system. The boot time is much faster here, with the UEFI boot devices showing both Windows Boot Manager and the SSD.

First system is Asrock Z270, 2nd is Asrock H270. Both using same cpu, same 850EVO ssd.

Is 14s too slow or normal? Why doesnt the first system show Windows Boot Manager as a boot device?

Is it cause u left the thumbdrive with OS inside the second build?

14s quite normal, already much faster than hdd

nope, OS installed from disc for both systems.
After installing OS the drive is removed

i checked my bios boot menu, it shows-
(i) windows boot manager (my SSD description)
(ii) (my SSD description)
(iii) (my HDD)

and my boot time is 19 secs!! but nevermind la, fast enough for me.

longer bios time in task mgr startup tab for z chipset, prolly because z chipset need more time to initialize & test
and bios time prolly means bios time only, possible not include windows startup time

yes, suspect coz of OC as well. i see my asus logo needs to come out 2 times before going to windows.

Edit: maybe coz of my gpu. First screen shows my gpu brand leadtek, then only next screen goes into asus logo. Not sure if my previous zotac has this loading at startup or not though.

If u do a modest OC on the memory there is a memory training sequence that will most likely lengthen POST.

Standard SPD profile will be faster.

wah read some gpu brands do tat for their founder's cards, but i cudn't find much info out there...
