Windows key with new MB n processor

Hi experts,

If I replace my 1155 proc n mb with new ryzen but reuse everything else including the system ssd, what is your experience: does it invalidate my windows key? Basically, take out old ones from case n put in new one. Thanks.

Need to reactivate when changing mobo

At least not as bad as some games which had to reactivate when changing graphics card

Depends on ur windows license. OEM license cannot reuse.

The retail box one just install and reactivate, might call MS for help if u port ard to too many machines

Mine worked perfectly, never had to reactivate. But mine is not an OEM.
