Hmm, I hope its not accurate cause going in less than 2 weeks time. The daily low forecast for the next week still seem ok, except on the 10th. Still it is good to prepare for even colder weather than anticipated.

actually i have been observing the forecasts these few weeks and it seems everyday the forecasts is adjusted lower and lower... for example today's forecast at the end of last friday was about 15 deg. yesterday they forecasted 12 deg. this morning the forecast for midday was actually 11 deg. the weather is changing so fast the forecaster is having trouble catching up it seems

my guesstimate is that if this weather holds up, all the koyo trees will be bald by the time we enter dec.

To be honest I think no one can predict the weather next month. Just gotta keep monitoring in preparation for your trip.

Thanks for your observation. Think I also need to monitor the forecasts and the weather trend. Don't want to be caught out by sudden dip in temperature. If you have any breaking weather news, do let us know here haha!

looks like the cooler than usual weather is due to the cold front...might be temporary once the cold front moves away.....the snow in Sapporo has already melted from yesterday...so temperature is still not cold enough at the moment

be careful, there is a snow storm tomorrow for northern areas like akita, hakodate, etc... 35m/s wind

it will probably be the coldest day this week for the rest of japan...

this cold front is the Siberian High that extends all the way from russia into japan every winter

Anyone keen to join for 3 days snow skiing in Hokkaido, and 1/2 days in Sapporo? In early december 2016.
Don't mind any gender.
