Withdrawing money from ATMs in Europe

Hi guys,
I would like to know if a locally issued DBS/POSB debit card can be used with the ATM machines in Europe? I heard that the machines over there only accept 4 digits while ours are 6. Anybody had experiences with this issue before?

Used the POSB Go ATM card in France and UK without any problems. 6-digit PIN.
