Laptop AMD vs Intel chip.
Recently seems AMD comes back again? They've been quiet for awhile.
I saw an interesting new from passmark, talking about AMD vs Intel chip on gaming laptop.
Wish to ask regarding the performance and your opinion between Intel and AMD chip.
Seems Intel is still better than AMD ?

it is irrelevant from a laptop standpoint.

when building a PC you can choose your CPU. When buying a laptop, you pretty much can't.

Here in SG, AMD OEM products are non existent.
Even there are good AMD laptops like Asus-ROG-Zephyrus-G-GA502DU.

They are not sold here, the popular Lenovo Thinkpad E495/E595/T495/X395.
Those remain exclusive through Lenovo website, retail shops you
won't see such models.

Only DIY component than you see full range of AMD parts.
OEM products like desktop/laptop, Intel is still the choice here.

AMD ryzen 7 has been making some interesting progress on cpu temperature, especially with good laptop casings like acer helios models. although vega gpu has not quite caught up with nvidia, would be interesting to keep tabs on development progress.
It is also one of the bigger reasons AMD share price increased quite a bit of late.
