Why like that ah?

I spend weekends coding in peace. Focused more on making things sustainable rather than rapid fire releases.

Whilst everyone else is out having a ball of a time. Partying, having fun.

Anyone else but me, wondering why end up like that...

In before work smart not work hard.

In before join Tesla/Twitter cause leadership's values.

Not many are so lucky :o
I get what you mean.

But there also comes a point where you need to fit the 'corporate' mould.

Very odd balancing act.

I want to abandon tech... And maybe make furniture or catch fish.

I really hate the women in tech drive which puts people like Jo Teo in places where they have no merit to be. It feels like the system is broken severely.

When I was work from office rast time, I used to like spending my saturdays in office to OT because no emails, no one to call me to help them, no one disturb my flow and I can code from 10am to 6pm with no disturbance. Very shiok.

I don't hate woman in tech. In fact, I welcome woman in tech. However, regardless gender, I don't like to deal with people who does not have skillset when they are SUPPOSED to have the skillset.

Take for example, I got colleague A, B and C.

A is First class Honors scholar, come in as a senior dev. End up everything also must ask me back then even when I join only 2 months earlier and is considered a normal software developer.

B is a polytechnic graduate, but skillset damm good. Came in as associate software developer but able to grasp everything within first month. I like working with B a lot because we just got that synergy on things.

C is an intern from uni. C don't have skillset but because is intern, we always guide C so when C ask questions, I can understand why she want to ask.

Another fun fact is all A, B and C are females.

It could be niceand fulfilling though,if you're working on something you find meaningful
Reason why I am working on weekends is firstly if I don't work on weekends, I basically cannot finish my work...secondly...I don't hav any activities during weekends and 99% of time is at home...so work lor
