Balcony many ppl feel waste of time but I like to drink some wine with my wife at the balcony. Or sit there relax a bit and have some small talk. Quite song.

One of my friend has a unit with a long balcony connected to all the living room + 5 bedrooms (dumbbell design). The kid can run from 1 end to the other end (master bedroom). Not sure why need to walk there instead of corridor.

See what u like. If u don’t do anything then it become useless space

One good thing about having a balcony is that u are able to open your sliding doors during thunderstorm.

Can practise shuttle run there. Or partition into 5 separate balconies.

Not every balcony is long enough to let you run shuttle run hor. Since can have shuttle run then must flex a bit to show people.

Hi there. Im a single M looking to get a 1 bedder resale condo for own stay. Have basically shortlisted 2 units of different stacks within the same condo development. Unit A (580sqft @ S$850K) comes with a ~60sqft balcony attached to the living room. Unit B (680sqft @ S$1M) shares a similar balcony layout except with an extra ~40sqft extension (along the width) connecting the living room to the MBR, allowing direct access from both areas. Unit B also comes with a ~60sqft study which is kinda moot as it most probably will just end up as a storeroom.

Having lived all my life in a 2nd gen HDB without any balcony, I am wondering if the additional ~40sqft and experience of having direct access from the MBR is worth the extra quantum of S$150K, or its just gonna be a novelty that will quickly wear off? PSF-wise, both units seem to be similarly matched. Hope to gather some thoughts on this. Thanks.
What did u pick?
