Worthwhile to own a TV Box?

Apple TV or ChromeCast? seems these two are popular brands. although must say connect a laptop to the big screen, everything settled

I'm more of a idevice user though.

want to watch disney+, netflix, and some those online streaming programs

Yesterday went to Harvey Norman and saw price of LG oled TV drop to about 2k. Can consider getting these kind of shiok tv that can play netflix out of the box. Moi using Qled 95T got preinstalled Netflix & apple tv. Controller even got dedicated button to use.

No need for a tv box if your tv is modern enough. Nowadays tv pricing are dropping.

You won't go wrong with either Apple TV or Chromecast. These are better than the smart TV in terms of frequent updates and UI.

My tv comes pre-installed with Apple TV. It also has Apple Airplay. If you are using an old tv with no apps then no choice have to buy a box. But you should be seriously considering changing to a modern tv if it is too old. That way you don't need to turn on so much devices and those additional wires lying around.

Depends on what u want to watch. Those overseas tv box got live channels from US, UK, Taiwan and etc

Apple TV app is different from the standalone Apple TV box. I think TS is asking about the standalone Apple TV box since he also mentioned Chromecast.

I prefer the standalone Apple TV box because there are frequent software updates.

Thanks for the heads-up, was looking at the Stick due to its small size being able to hide behind the monitor. Not looking at the Box S because my table space don't have space to fit the box.

I got a china android box.. faster then tvs android and got more storage too. Oh.. TV Android is not the full version one... China box is ... can also install psone apps to play ancient ps games!
