Hi All
Am looking to get a new laptop running 8th gen CPU for the wife. Main use honestly will be just word/excel/surf/youtube. Budget is around 1K - 1.4K. I know some folks here will say but usually, my wife will use it for many years so I think reliability and future-proof is important.
I have a MSI gaming laptop (forgot model) that she has been using but it lasted less than 2 years with light usage. It nows auto-reboot and sometimes cannot even power on. Sent back once for repair and they changed the board, but the problem came back after few weeks. With so much downtime, my wife just got frustrated and decided to invest in another laptop.
After some browsing, I am thinking of Ideapad 520 or a Dell New Inspiron 15 5000 (5570). Screen size 14-15 is important to her.
Any opinion of the two options below?
Ideapad 520 (15) 81BF00FKSB - S$1,349
Intel Core i7-8550U Processor ( 1.80GHz 2400MHz 8MB )
