haha all the pros relax relax... just cpu for gaming and normal usage, will be using back the old mouse, monitors and keyboard.. my budget maybe around 2k. yeah diy but I don't know how to diy so normally walk into shop and ask the guy to help me build.

Overclocking is not necessary but is recommended when you want to get more power out of your unlocked CPU. You can get the z170 mobo and unlocked processor now and run it in stock speeds while you learn how to overclock and you can overclock it in the future!
Usually people reco Either MSI, Gigabyte or Asus motherboard

I would recommend you to go for Intel Core i7 6700K. It would cost you $392.52. I see this listing on amazon.

z170 is a mobo

6700k is a cpu.

you put the cpu on the mobo.

honesty speaking though,

z170 is a good mobo to go with 6700k.

the reason for this setup would be for overclocking, which is what the K versions of CPUs are for.

But if you are asking this, I doubt you will be overclocking your system. I will recommend you get a cheaper mobo and the slightly cheaper non K version, if you aren't ever going to be doing any dwiddling with your pc
