actually the light hunter senor in Xm 14 pro is also from Sony.

14Pro and 14 are using Omnivision OVX9000. More china brand are using their sensors nowadays.

was looking at 14 pro images by users. don't find it any better. seems softer & lack sharpness but that could be software issues. still no improvement in bokeh/blurring algorithms. i think they lack good software dev thinking leica can help cover their shortfall?

Xiaomi 14 Ultra: Detailed specs, more renders surface, price hinted​

More renders of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has surfaced, and the price of the phone has already surfaced, after the first set of renders surfaced earlier this week, revealing triple rear 50MP cameras.

This also reveals detailed camera specifications, but doesn’t mention variable aperture camera, and says it will have f/1.6 aperture for the main camera, f/1.8 for the ultra-wide, and f/3.0 aperture for the periscope cameras, and all the cameras should have a 50MP sensor.

The exact sensor details are not available, but earlier rumours revealed Sony Lytia LYT-900 sensor for the main camera, and Sony IMX858 sensor for the other three cameras.

This also reveals 220 grams weight for the phone, compared to 227 grams for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, even though this is said to feature a bigger 5300mAh battery. It also reveals 9.2mm thickness (without the camera bump) for the phone, compared to 9.06mm thickness in the predecessor.

Other specifications are similar, including IP68 waterproof and dustproof certification, 6.73″ 2K OLED LTPO screen with peak brightness of 3000 nits, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, up to 16GB of RAM, 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging.

The phone is said to feature a vegan leather back and an aluminum frame, but there are rumours of a separate limited-edition with a titanium frame, just like the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Price?​

According to Winfuture, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s Germany price is not available yet, but earlier rumours revealed that it will be priced at 1,499 euros (USD 1,615 / Rs. 1,34,055 approx.) for the 16GB + 512GB in France.

To remind you, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra was introduced in Europe for a similar 1500 Euros price tag, but for the 12GB + 512GB model.

Overall, it looks very similar to 13 Ultra.

Perhaps Xiaomi is adopting the iPhone's design philosophy of not changing the design at every version.
