The Shopee buyers' reviews implied that the cheaper sets could be 2nd hand sets:

Buyer please beware.. The main point is seller can't explained y new phone was activated before 2 months ago and yet it was claimed as new. The peeling was initially found during unbox but I felt amissed again & asked seller but replied it's after 7days. Can new charger full of scratches too?

heng i bought from the shopee where people here buy from one forgot the name

ya some damn bad. Supplier just give 翻机，后封 kind and repacked to sell.

China due to CNY cannot ship in hp/tablet now ,must after CNY.
My next target is from 拼多多, 12+512gb at rmb4059 only purely seal and non activated set.
This platform groupbuy deal damn good.

Just flash to xiaomi eu problem solve provided you know how to do it. Is pretty easy with the all the tutorial available nowadays

Spend so much money for a phone still have to do all such dirty job? 😂... I will rather pay for a same amount of phone can be used out of box.

Some phones are just exclusive to china market. That's why there's custom rom available. U can choose to use Samsung or apple but have to pay more for it. Some brands also choose not to sell their flagship here in Singapore and we end up getting from grey market.

after using mi phone since mi 2, I have learnt one thing. If the vendor not interested to sell the phone outside of China I will rather buy other phone to save al the risk and trouble.

the choices are plenty now even with china phone .
