Doubt so given Redmi Note 5 still uses MicroUSB. Will be great if Mi surprises us on this front.

Don't keep your hopes high.

These are just sub-RMB1000 devices, can't expect too much from it..

Since early 2017 Xiaomi has been using SD625, even the Redmi 6 may use it too. Did they like over-ordered from Qualcomm last time till they have to do that since Redmi Note 4 SD?!
