i don't think it's the same one cause ming chuan signature is not bai gu. the standard dishes people will order is the lor bee, lala and the fish. :s13:

Ming Chung main food which is nice is the fried bee hoon, lor mee, the fried fish, lala and fried rice cake which is fried in dark sauce. Many people never order the rice cake coz they dunno got this item or never see before. One more is the tofu which is cook like a soup. Been eating there since 3 years old. Standard still there but price gone up.

Tbh Ming Chung standard drop liao if really compare to their peak in the 90s... Many years nvr go and just went there last month but was somewhat disappointed. Maybe chef change to next generation so lost some skills along the way.

But I gotta admit it's still one of the good old authentic Henghua cuisine still surviving in SG.

Agree that the standard dropped. Many of the things they cut corner nowadays. The beancurd with vegetable used to be nice. Now they use those lousy quality from supplier taste like ****. And now they no longer put the braised pork for their staple. Last time have. But if compare prices with taste. I think no complain. They dun offer fanciful dishes like Putien. But it's good enough and authentic enough for heng hua food.

Not sure if it is a similar type of eatery concept, but inside the food court of NEX shopping centre (separate area beside the teppanyaki), there is an outlet/eatery that serves xinghua dishes.

Is this at the food junction?
